Midland Data Networks can provide Cat 5 and Cat 6 Network cabling installations to suite your needs, whether you need some extra outlets installing or a complete new network installation.
Recenty one of our customes moved into new premises. As part of our service, we installed a new floor standing communications cab and wired out to all of their deskpoints with CAT5e cabling. A new server was installed in the cab along with a new Panasonic KX-TES 824 telephone exchange.
In the office were installed 3 x Axis CCTV cameras to monitor both of their offices and the front door. The cameas were installed using Power over Ethernet.
Each Desk outlet had a minimum of 2 CAT5e wall mounted sockets installed, one to take the PC or Printers The other outlet was used for a Telephone using a CAT5 adapter.
In the cab, the PCs and Printers were wired back to a patch panel which was then patched inot a Netgear 10/100/1000Mpbs managed network switc.
The Panasonic KX-TES824 was patched to a patch panel where each telephone extension was numbered.
By using a common CAT5e infrastructure, each outlet can be used for a phone, PC, Printer or CCTV camera. The only differrence is what you patch it to in the cab - the Netgear POE switch, the Netgear 10/100/1000Mbps switch or the Telephone Switch Patch panel.
Each device was patched with a different coloured patch lead in the cab, so that the services can be easily assessed when removing patch leads
